Room 7 Rubbish Project
Today the class went out and looked around the school to see how much rubbish we could find. As we were walking around we found a lot of rubbish especially in the drains. Most of the rubbish were food packets like chip packets, milk cartons, juice bottles and much more. So yes that's how much people care about pollution, well maybe they don't no it's bad to litter but it's still not right just to chuck your rubbish wherever you are. The class picked up as much rubbish up as we could but most of it was in the drains and we couldn't do anything about it.

Very sad to see the state of our drains. I hope the creating and sharing work our class are working on will educate our school about the importance of keeping our drains clean.
Hi Cherise,
I am a Year 8 student at Tamaki Primary School. It's sad to hear that most of your drains are loaded with rubbish because people are throwing their unwanted waste into vulnerable places like drains, the floor, etc. At the moment my class is also working on Pollution and what causes it. When rubbish goes into the drain it can cause Soil and Water Pollution, and the drains go out to see which makes sea creatures eat the improper disposal of waste.
I like the way your class took the chance to walk around the school and seek how much rubbish there is. Maybe next time you could add in a little bit more description because people might want to know how it got there, why it's there and how to prevent it from happening. Besides that keep up the good work!
Kind Regards
Gary
Hey Cherry, I have been seeing a lot of rubbish around the community. I feel very sad about people just throwing their rubbish around. What should you do about all these rubbish?
Hi Cherry, I know its not the best sight but its reality. And this is what the world has come to but we can change that.
Hi Cherry, I like the way how you wrote about the Class walking around the school and looking for rubbish in the drains. It makes me wanna volunteer to help clean up the community or other schools in Auckland.!
